Accessory Care - Quick Guide

As a natural material, bamboo requires gentle handling. Proper cleaning and storage will help your whisk last longer, hold its shape, and stay mould-free

Chasen (Bamboo Whisk)

Before First Use (Only Once):
- Soak bottom half of whisk in hot water for 5 minutes. The tips may start to uncurl (see note)

Before Each Use:
- Soak tips in hot water for 30 seconds to soften and prevent breakage

After Use:
- Rinse under warm water (no soap)
- Shake off excess water
- Use a whisk stand to air dry & help retain shape
- Do not place back in original container that your whisk was supplied in. It will not fit, and encourages the growth of mould
- Do not put in dish washer

Note:
After the first few uses, the tips will uncurl. This is known as "blooming" and is perfectly normal.

  • Soak in hot water for 5 minutes before first use and 30 seconds before every use.

  • Rinse after using, shake off excess water then place on whisk stand to dry and retain shape.
