Hojicha is what happens when green tea leaves are roasted over charcoal. The heat transforms the flavour completely: grassy becomes toasty, bitter becomes smooth, and the result is something closer to cocoa than tea. Rich, nutty, with a natural caramel warmth and almost no bitterness.
It's naturally low in caffeine, which makes it the one you reach for in the afternoon or evening when you still want something that feels considered. JAS certified organic, stone ground, sourced from Uji, Kyoto.

How To Use
How To Use
For lattes: whisk 1-2g with a small amount of hot water, then add steamed or cold milk. For baking and desserts, add directly to your recipe. For a straight bowl: use 1-2g in 70ml of water at 80°C.
